The Reason For My Absence

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Lynchburg Airport (pictured above) to pick up my mom, niece and her baby. They are moving out here and my brother followed a few days later in the moving truck. They have been in search of a house but in the meantime they are staying with us. I'm sure you can all imagine the stress of having a whole other family living with you. I have not had one free moment to myself and I'm not even exaggerating....hoping they find a house of their own soon before I lose my sanity.

I've missed visiting all your blogs and look forward to chatting again SOON, as soon as my life returns to normal!

Take care! Hopefully they'll be settled in somewhere else within the week!

I hope the family fines a home soon and gets settled in. I'm sure it is very stressful for them also. Hang in there, better days are ahead! ;)

  4. Thanks Lois...

I know Gramma Ann, they are under alot of stress...I keep reminding myself when I start acting bratty lol :)

Erin, I'm so selfish about my own space too, that's why it's so difficult! I'm such a stickler to routine and this has thrown us all out of ours!

  6. Oh, do remember to take care of yourself. Sounds like a few days away from home are needed. Or maybe a yoga class. :) Best wishes for a quick resolution.

  7. Thanks for letting us know, girly. I hope that this move is a good thing for them and that life will soon return to normal for your family and theirs as well... can't be easy on any of you. Hope their search for a house goes smoothly as I know how stressful it can be living out of a suitcase and waiting for your furniture and things to arrive.... they are extremely lucky to have you, to open up your home to them in a time of need. Pat yourself on the back, take a deep breath, and know that this too shall pass.

    Hugs,

  8. Tanya, even though stressful, it's wonderful when family helps each other out. God's looking down on you and smiling. He's also sending you the strength you need to get through this. Breathe and take care of yourself too! We miss you :)

  16. Shoot, whats a few more members of your family slouching around on the furniture. My relatives love it when I go for extended visits. They even throw a party when I leave because they are sad to see me go.......well, they party is usually after I have left.

  17. Don't worry about it at all. We'll be here when you've got more time.

In the meantime, I hope your guests find a place of their own. Although it's wonderful to have family to help you out in a bind.

  21. Where are you guys from? Isn't that Lynchburg Airport pretty, peaceful and simple? I'm used to Newark Airport!

And I'm the same way as you and Erin. I like my space and I'm used to my routine. But you gotta do what you gotta do. It's worth it to have family around. I wish I had some family nearby!
